Wow, I cannot believe summer is actually sneaking in the door. The boys are so excited and actually I am too. The only concern I have is that this time of year brings the realization that Brandon and Nelson are growing up!!
This year was a milestone for Brandon. Turning 16 this year brought of course another driver in the household. It's nice to have him available to help with some of the running we do, but let me tell you, the insurance thing I could do without. Brandon has also enjoyed the opportunity to date a few girls. The picture on this blog was taken the night he went to the Junior Prom. I think he is absolutely a darling young man. He will be a Junior next year and is, as of today, planning to play football.
Nelson is ready for a summer break. He just wants to run and play all the time. Right now we are occupied with baseball, but he is already planning what he wants to play next. He doesn't want to play football like he played last year (he didn't like the helmet), but he is worried about what he will do. He says maybe flag football or soccer. I guess we'll see.
I am ready to get to the cabin on the mountain. I hope to spend a lot of time there this summer. As I will be working four ten hour shifts and having Fridays off, this should give us a little extra playtime this summer. In fact, every other weekend Travis and I will have a three day weekend together.
