A little about us

I guess we'll start off by updating everyone about us.
Travis is currently working with the Cedar City Fire Department as a Captain. He has been there for about 7 years. He has been a volunteer on the department for 18 years now. This job keeps him busy. Not only does he work his 40 hour week, but he also carries a pager and responds to all fire calls. Being married to a fireman you never know where you might be when the pager rings. I have been left eating dinner at a downtown restaurant, at the grocery store with a cart full of groceries and no ride home, and lots of times our plans are delayed while we wait for Travis to return home.
Our oldest son Brandon is now 16. He is a sophomore at Canyon View High School. He is driving and dating and just plain enjoying life. He is such a great kid. He excels in school and has a great group of friends. He will be trying out for the basketball team this coming Monday and we wish him lots of luck. I definitely have my fingers crossed. He didn't make the team last year, but he has worked very hard and has improved a ton.
Nelson is a busy little guy as well. He is now 8 years old and in Mr. Perkins third grade class at Fiddlers Elementary. Nelson loves school and does real well. He was the only kid in the class that scored 100% on his last math test. He just finished a season of football and is looking forward to starting basketball. Trust me, Nelson never stops.
I am currently working at the Iron County School District. I work at the district office as the Superintendent's Assistant. Besides working full time, I also do my best to take care of my family as well as serve as the 1st counselor with the young women in our ward. I am also learning (attempting to learn) to play the guitar. It is actually really fun. I love it.
Well, I guess that's enough for now.
