We love Tuesday's at our house (NOT). Our family has quite a schedule on Tuesday's. We joke around the house that the day should be called SUPER TUESDAY. Travis trains with the fire department every Tuesday night so it's always been a quick home from work, supper, and then he runs off to meeting. Prior to me being released from my young women calling, I would also need to be out the door as well. Brandon attends his young men activity and Nelson would tag along with me of course. We also throw into the mix Nelson's schedule of pack meeting for scouts one Tuesday a month and basketball practice every Tuesday. Things should be a little easier now that I am not committed to young women on Tuesday's.
Today started as a SUPER TUESDAY!! Travis' fire pager rang at just before 1:00 a.m. for a possible structure fire. Of course he jumped out of bed and off he went. As I woke a few times during the night, I couldn't believe that he wasn't home yet. Then when my alarm woke me at 6:00 a.m. I was really shocked that he was not home. I proceeded to prepare for the day and when I left for work, I still hadn't seen or heard from Travis. I spoke with Travis a couple of times during the day and I could tell he was tired. He finally came home from work around 6:30 p.m. Quite a long day I would say and yes, of course, he was very tired. Even though the Tuesday night commitment becomes a drag, I am so appreciative of all the training the firemen go through. It is such a blessing that even though two business' were destroyed everyone was kept safe and unharmed.
